ok so ......the other day I downloaded Robben Ford's tribute album to Paul Butterfield. I was never a big Butterfield Blues fan, but the album had a good review from emusic and I like Robben Ford, well, I thought the album was great and went back to look at Buttefield Blues Band and not remembering uh 40 years ago, I forgot that two of my favorites, Mike Bloomfield (I love the Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper and Super Sessions!) and Elvin Bishop (who's new cd The Blues Rolls On is really good) were founding members. Well, the bottom line is I've been listening to Butterfield Blues Band first two albums and enjoying them! I've always been a fan of blues harmonica and like Sonny Terry, Sonny Boy Williams, Carey Bell, and John Mayall (Room to Move),etc. I even liked country harmonica and have a Charlie McCoy album.....so now I'm gonna go back and listen to some others that I didn't listen to like the James Cotton Band!!!
